Luck

What does luck mean to you? Is luck a coincidence? Is luck hereditary? Is being lucky important? Is it the only way to be successful? Can you choose luck? Can you get lucky by wearing gemstones? Well, if it answers any of the above, and you must have heard this before, we make our own luck, just as we make our own destiny. Luck is, when we move our butt. When you returned that extra money a person gave you, which years later, he remembered and provided you with the job you have been looking for desperately. Luck is, when you have done the certification which at that time seemed of no use, and years later pays you more than anyone else. Luck is, when you have been kind and everyone else has been kinder to you, because the universe works that way. Luck is, when you randomly talked to the person on the next table and he starts to give you opportunities which you were looking for. Luck is, when you learnt good deed from your parents and replicate them. Luck is, when you have don...

Circle of Concern- Circle of Influence

Humankind has evolved to a level where we care about things more than ourselves. We care about the environment, we care about the world, we care about our society. We have become more empathetic towards things around us and things far from us. We start to confuse between what we can and can not control. Things we can not control does not let us sleep. We are for sure better human beings, but with care comes worry and chaos. We start to sabotage our daily life with things we can not control. We need to become proactive instead of reactive. We need a tool to understand the things we worry about and take proactive steps towards it. (To read about being proactive, go here ) Such a tool is Circle of Concern-Circle of Influence. If you see the image below. Imagine the outer circle COC, consists of all the things you care about. It might be from what people say about you (if you care), how government is not taking care of the crimes, fire in nearby building, school, office, bed sheet you...

Working a job

Being in a job is not as bad as everyone claims it to be. If you're passionate about something which someone already has a business in, why not work with or for them. The thing is, we get it all wrong. Working for someone does not mean you just finish things assigned to you and leave. If you're doing such a job, leave. If you go to your office and look forward to it, then you are doing good. You are bringing something extra to the workplace. Your passion. When you have a passion for something, you don't need motivation to show up everyday. On the other hand, if you have a certain idea which your company isn't providing, you can either suggest it and take over its development. Or quit and start your own firm. But always know the amount of work and consistency it requires for both the choices. Ingredients to Keep it Interesting Being Proactive Proactive is when you act on things you believe in rather than waiting for things to happen. Do not confuse proactive with ...

A cut on your wrist is a cut on your soul

I suppose you've seen jewelry box? Wooden, silver, ivory jewelry box. All sorts of jewelry boxes. Our body is like that jewelry box and our soul is the jewelry in it. Now both of them are precious, jewelry being more precious and longer lasting. Now you know that your body keeps your soul safe and ready to display the skills of our souls or give us a tool to do something special in life. Now why would you hurt it? When you start thinking of your body as something which belongs to you like any other thing like your pet or your family member, you don't break it. When someone accidentally breaks your jewelry box, you try to fix it with glue and tape and what not. You mend it. Likewise do it with your body. Care for it. You need to fix it, not hurt or cut it like the other person did (who hurt your feelings). It's not like the thought doesn't come to your mind. It does, let's face it. But you love your body more than you would want to hurt it. Your body is the tool to ...
